bad religion in retrospect

I've been taking a journey through my old cd's since I have to spend so much stinkin' time on the road now. I'm on Bad Religion recently. It has taken a lot of work to scrub off the residual pessimism from all the time I spent listening to them growing up. But it's actually quite refreshing to come across the level of potency so much of their music expresses. I think I've pinpointed how I can love music so much and yet be totally unmoved by a lot of the music I hear now.

I guess I could go back and try to rediscover The Spin Doctors...but that would be just bizarre.
