For anyone who thinks that hugging people = being their friend:
A couple of years ago I had an unfortunate run-in with a belligerent person. Luckily, I never saw this person again... until this week, twice. The first time, it was over quickly. All I had to do was receive a fake quarter-smile, a handshake and a "wish I could stay and chat." As if that wasn't enough beeyes, I managed to run into this person again, and this time it wasn't so easy. I had to stand there and take a phat bear hug for a good 3 seconds. I can't express to you how excruciating that was.
To anyone who's reading this I beg you:
Please, for the love of humanity, don't go around hugging people who you've given a really good reason to not like you, please.
In case you're reading, Dave. I wasn't a fan of your hallelujah complex bit when I first read it (for reasons I'll explain if you care), but after this, in addition to some Christmas-time instances, I think I'll now be joining your cause. I'll give you details if you're interested.
