Healing doesn’t come easy for a recovering cynic. It’s too hard to be sincere and talk to anyone about it because the cynicism and sarcasm in your bones keeps you from being able to take yourself or the person you’re talking to seriously enough to work through anything. In fact, I’ve already stopped taking this entry seriously. But I’ll post it anyway as proof to myself that I was for a moment sincere when I started writing it.
These days I’m not in the office as much as I used to be because of all the school. Josiah’s a lot busier at work now, too. So I haven’t had as many opportunities to be appalled as before. But today he managed to say something so horrible that it needed to be posted for old times’ sake.
